Overview
The Golden Visa (Autorização de Residência para Investimento, ARI) grants residency to non-EU investors who make a qualifying investment in Portugal. The real-estate purchase route has been discontinued; current options include investment funds, capital transfer, scientific research, cultural support and job creation. VPA assesses eligibility, structures the investment with your advisers, prepares the application and handles AIMA, through to the residence card and, later, permanent residency or citizenship.
