Frequently asked questions
What is an EU trade mark?
An EUTM is a single registration, filed at the EUIPO, that protects your mark across all EU Member States.
EU or national trademark?
An EUTM is efficient if you operate in several Member States; a national INPI mark may be enough if you only operate in Portugal.
Does an EU trademark cover the United Kingdom?
No. Since Brexit the EUTM no longer covers the UK; separate UK protection is needed.
How much does an EU trademark cost?
EUIPO fees depend on the number of classes. We give you a fixed quote before filing. [verify official EUIPO fees]
